[Q] Echo during calls

Guys, i am facing a problema and hope you can help me since i have searched everywhere and can't find an answer...

I have a bad echo problem in my Atrix, the person in the other side hears his own voice all the time. I have researched and it seems this is something that can be corrected disabling noise cancellation.

EDIT: Is there any solutions for this?

Any help is appreciated.

Sometimes I hear echo from some people I talk with, and sometimes they get echo from me. After some research (read: trial and error), we established it's neither their phone nor mine, it's actually the network itself. Sometimes it's just glitchy like that. If this happens to be the case for you too, there's pretty much nothing you can do, short of moving to another carrier.

Well in this case i am 100% sure it is an Atrix problem, tried every combination of the carrier sim with other phones, and the echo is not random, it's always there...

You are correct. Echo being reflected back from a cellphone towards the remote end needs to be canceled by the device.

No clue why your device is broken, but I would try flashing a new radio.

Thanks for those tried to help me, i have fixed the problem.

What i did was flash a different radio AND flashed a blur based rom which have te option not to use noise cancellation, i think this is actualy what solved the problem. It's a shame i could'nt do that with CM7...
