[Q] Enable 850mhz on Galaxy Nexus?

Cheers Marton. May have answered my own question though. Basically I noticed my phone was registering on Telstra's 2100mhz network (3Telstra) but the 850mhz network is superior. After going into "Settings | Wireless & networks - More | Mobile Networks | Network Operators" I was able to change to the "Telstra Mobile."

Now it's speedier than ever.

Try going to your dialer and dialing "*#*#4636#*#*". In the next menu select the option that reads "Phone information". Once in that menu hit the option button and choose "select radio band". There you will see "Aus" and "Aus2". I believe Aus2 will get you that second frequency you're trying to get.
this worked perfectly. after flashing ICS 4.0.4 i was defaulting to 2100 even after flashing the telstra radio again. 850 is back!!
