hey there, thanks for reading..

I'm here now for a couple of years and I've tried really alot of roms in that time with my hd2 and in nearly all cases all roms get somehow corrupt after a couple of weeks/months.
I had this with nand 2.2 stable roms up to current 4.04 unstable ones, no matter what kernel, chef or build.
It starts different, sometimes a widget gets corrupted and failes to load, an icon becomes just a questionmark, settings like ringtone become 'unknown' ringtone or apks just force close.

Replacing corrupt apks fixes this one, but shortly afterward another one is effected or gets corrupted right after replacing.

I'm really out of ideas, i flashed different radios, did different tasks and replaced the memory card.

I have only installed about 20 apps and some moved to sdcard and some external apks without market. No overclocking and no root apps installed. Never had strange messages while flashing or something..

Does anyone have a concrete hint for me what i can do to fix this? Is this a common / known problem? Any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks

Could you try the DL_Desire Rom? For me it was the most stable rom I ever had till I messed around with different kernels and stuff. With this rom you won't even need CWR, since you can flash it! Very nice.

Thanks for suggesting. I had 2 versions of the DL_Desire rom running for some time but again apks force closed when market got automaticlly updated and messed up some configuration.

Could there be a problem with external manually installed apks? That they don't get recognized by the market and then get overwritten?

I sometimes have the feeling when reaching the end of available memory the rom cracks.

I'm really considering anything :(

maybe there's something wrong with your phone

Anyway, have you been experiencing any overheating in the past few weeks/months or prior to this issue?

Have you checked for bad blocks? (Even though I don't know how this would affect your ROM, but it's worth checking)

Have you ever done the "freezer trick" to get your phone to work again?

My troubleshooting suggestion would be to focus on anything you "always" do... Apps that are always installed, configs and even behaviors that you always do with the phone. Eliminate one thing, starting with the most likely, e.g. Backup or security apps, and run until you have an issue. If you get to the point you're no longer experiencing the issue, either that app/ behavior is the problem, or thats conflicting with something else... if it continues I would imagine a hardware memory problem.. If There's a way to fsck the whole phone, i would highly recommend....

With my HD2 I always used a 2gb card as read and write times tend to be faster, nand wasnt stable at all when I left I'm assuming it isn't much better. I used American roms they was fantastic on a 2gb card I also booted windows phone 7 from nand, I found it to a great insight but it overheated

Always wanted to be able to do that but never had the opportunity :D But I would agree on the bad blocks thing. Also, a similar issue happened to me once and I just flashed the same ROM again and everything worked fine. All of my data and stuff was retained, as far as I know I didn't lose anything.

I have 3 hd2 s and my favorite ROM is Ultimate droid. Most stable, simple and fastest for me. Runner up would be pongster's hyperdroid cm7 but the release right before the latest one. Most current one gives me display bugs.

thats 200 Euro more and i don't like sense that much. 390 euros for the nexus is quite OK IMHO. Guess I'll retire from flashing stuff then, I'm getting too old and lazy for this ^^

Whoa, didn't expect such a huge price difference there. Yeah then stick with the Galaxy Nexus I guess. Also, having said that Typhoon doesn't break just recently I've been experiencing issues :(
