Hi all,

I've had a bit of a search that has proven to be unhelpful.

I am wondering if it is possible to explore the current internal memory of my unrooted DHD. I am willingly to root my phone to do this (allowing me to use Root Explorer or a similar program) but I would rather not lose my current internal memory. I am under the impression that rooting the phone will wipe the memory. Is it possible to root without losing internal memory? If so, could somebody push me in the simplest direction?

Phone specs are as follows:
Android version: 2.3.5
HTC Sense version: 3.0
Software number: 3.12.178.2

Thanks in advance!

TL;DR: How can a explore my current internal memory?

If you use es filemanager you can view the internal storage space without the need to root. Not sure what you hope to find its all mainly system files and apps.

Ok, I've done a bit more research. I'm thinking that this might be possible if I take a .abd backup. Is there a method of exploring the contents of a .abd backup from my pc? Thanks again.

Hello,

Did you find a solution to your 'internal memory' problem?

My HTC Desire HD is with low memory every day without installing anything new.
