[Q] ext2/ext3

Is it possible to get some partitions to run ext2/ext3 with a rom to get some faster i/o reads and overall a better device? Using my HD2 running the same rom with a ext2 partition and swap I get over 700 increase in my quadrant score.

The 2.1 Defy already uses ext2 and the 2.2 Defy uses ext3.

So that means a 2.1 Defy with a 2.2 recovery still uses ext2. Is there any noticable difference between ext2 and ext3?

I'm refering to the rom partitioning the sd card to save system resources and run faster. Take for instance, my HD2. Without partitioning my sd card, it runs system.img. When I partition my sd card it runs system.ext2.
