[Q] External Microphones

Hi all,

I hope this topic is in the right place! Anyway, I'm in need of an inexpensive microphone (I'm guessing a lapel mic of some sort) that can be connected to my device (an LG G3). But I don't know what to look for exactly! It'll be used for recording my voice while I'm wearing a motorcycle helmet. Therefore it'll need to be wind resistant and the cable that's going from my phone to my helmet will need to be long. I have done a Google search but the results are unsatisfying. Also, what audio recording apps that are compatible with external microphones are recommended?

one word: iphone edit sorry I post wrong message for wrong topic. ment to say look into helmet mods. you approach problem from backwards way. helmet microfones already made for motorcycles. they no sell well unless they integrate with current phones. so find them, and then you have what you looking for!

Well all I was hoping to get was a microphone that could be plugged into my phone and then my phone could be used as the recorder
