[Q] FC on ARHD 6.0.2 non-XE

hi, im experiencing lots of FC on ARHD 6.0.2 non-XE.
some of the apps include facebook, internet, maxthon, dolphin mini, htc peeps sign-in, HTC news, gReader

besides these, all other functions worked perfectly! can anyone suggest any fix?

Have you done a full wipe before installing?

which clock rate you flash - 1.2G or 1.5Ghz?
and have you tried a fix permissions?

What firmware did you install? 3.06 or 3.12?
Did you install 1.2 GHZ or 1.5 GHZ ?

i did a superwipe before flashing the below firmware

3.12.401.2/102 RUU

and i chose 1.2 GHz, did fix permissions and the FC still happens.

All is as it should be....
The only thing I can think of is a bad app,or a bad download.
Did you do a MD5 of your ROM?

do you mean i need to update Hboot manually?


these were the steps i took:

1. super-wiped
2. installed Firmware from 3.12.401.2/102 RUU
3. flashed Android Revolution HD 6.0.2XE
4. rebooted into new ROM successfully
5. flashed new radio 11.65.3504.00U_11.19.3504.29_2 and rebooted w/o any problems.
6. start to encounter lots of FCs whenever i used any of the below apps:
- any browsers (stock, maxthon, dolphin mini)
- htc stock news app, gReader
- htc hub, htc sense sign-in
- facebook sign-in
- HTC Peep sign-in (HTC Peep)
- widgetsoid reboot function couldn't work at all (had to use adb to reboot into recovery)

7. the below apps, however, were smooth and had no problems at all:
- whatsapp
- twitter for android
- stock calendar, tasks, and all htc widgets
- Llama locations
- all ICS functions (usage monitor, task manager)

8. subsequently i did the following in recovery (forgot the order):
- fix permissions
- clear cache + dalvik
- clear battery stats

All to no avail.

Hi,

I see your problem.
The new firmware 3.12 contains the new radio as well.
So when you did number 5. ,that was unnecessary .

May I suggest:
1. Flash firmware 3.12
2.Let it boot into ROM.
3.Delete PG58IMG.zip from sd card
4.Super wipe
5.Flash ROM

i was actually thinking whether restoring from titanium might be causing all these problems?

ok, i just tried to restore my titanium backups and the FC starts again.


now i'm just going to repeat the whole wipe-flash process and it should work now.
