[Q] Flashing Zips With Locked Bootloader?

Hi everyone was curious if you could flash zips through flash fire or safestrap with a locked bootloader (stupid CID 11) or am I only able to access root and that being about it on my VZW S5. Thanks in advance! I assume flashing with a locked bootloader would softbrick.

Custom Kernels will cause a soft brick as will custom recovery as for lets say a sound mod zip file idk never tried it arise is a Good sound mod to try you can find it on xda
