OK, this is getting really annoying and I hope someone can help...

I have a GSM Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 which has generally been great, however since upgrading to Overcome 7 Series 4.1.0 ROM (based on Android 2.3.6) I have a recurrent problem where I lose all network connectivity, both 3G and WiFi. The phone will be working fine and then for no apparent reason all attempts at data access will fail. The phone will claim to have plenty of 3G/WiFi signal, a valid IP and sensible looking IPs for DNS, gateway, etc., but nothing works.

Switching to flight mode and back doesn't help, neither does rebooting, the only way I've been able to restore data connectivity from this state is to do a factory reset/full wipe. The failures happen at unpredictable intervals but seems to be averaging at least once a week so even with Titanium Backup Pro this has become a really tedious chore and something that can be extremely annoying when it happens at a time I really need internet access.

Can anyone offer any suggestions for diagnosing and, hopefully, fixing this problem? Is this a Overcome 4.1.0 issue, an Android 2.3.6 issue, or is it a hardware fault? Somehow a fairly low level (not 3G/WiFi specific) part of the network stack is getting randomly corrupted, something that persists between reboots but is wiped by a factory reset.

For what it's worth my installation of Overcome 4.1.0 was done exactly as the installation guide says, including a full restock before installing the custom ROM.
