[Q] Full blown JB

Are we ever going to have a fully funcional JB with good battery life and all, now that we have the leak, or is the missing kernel still too big of a problem?

I had to take my Atrix into the shop, and at first it appeard I was going to be getting a GS2 because they were out of Atrixes, but I got a call friday saying that they miraculosly got two in stock and put one aside for me. Now, I've been on a
'waiting list' for the GS2 (because they didn't have the Atrix in stock) for about a month now (and I've had to use sony ericsson yendo, it drives me mad), so I can try to argue them into switching it out anyhow. However, I'm not sure I do, as there are some things I like more about the Atrix (battery, pixel density and screen size, fp scanner...), but, if I'm going to be stuck with GB I'd much rather have the GS2, so...

Get GS2 if you're dying to get all things working right from the box.
If you'd like to wait for some months until the devs can pull this up (i'm sure they ll do but it'll take some time). Get the Galaxy.

Nevermind, choose the first option and don't EVER buy from Motorola again.

I'm not dying, I've been waiting for a year... But do you think devs will be able to come up with a working kernel without sources, and within a resonable timeframe (ie a couple months).

please consider the high possibility that you could recieve one of the new atrixes that have a nonunlockable bootloader. i have gotten 2 of them from at&t since August that CANNOT BE UNLOCKED. without unlockin can't flash custom roms.

Save yourself the headache and get the GS2.

For starters its an infinitely better device with JB supported in the roadmap coming soon, better modding options and support in xda community also. I highly doubt that the ICS leak will make any inroads into a working rom release anytime soon, so just do yourself a favour and jump ship.

Ive just purchased a GS2 as they are dirt cheap now and will be binning my Atrix. The Atrix has been an absolute nightmare for over a year, stock is buggy and not a single fully functioning, fast, stable rom available (well nottachtrix was at least stable enough, but no cigar). Ill never purchase another motorola product after this experience.
