Well folks, my first question thread (Actually first thread started by me, ever). So first of all, sorry for any possible mistakes.I'll try to be as concise as I can, however it's hard with a situation as complicated as mine. I searched all around, and didn't find a case like this one. Well, I have this x10a, and after upgrading it to 2.1, it never booted again. SEUS reported a successful flash. It made it once to the homescreen, but rebooted soon after. Twice it stuck on the SE logo, now I only get the flashing red led. Phone charges the battery, and even with its own battery, charged either internally or with external charger, or other battery, it fails to boot. I can get to flashmode, but it seems to be stuck there. Sometimes it enters flashmode without pressing the back button However, it disconnects while flashtool or SEUS are trying to flash it. It flashes part of the .FTF and fails... I am no noob at this, and I've been pulling my hair over this phone for some 2 weeks...PC Companion recognizes it as a quite generic "Sony Ericsson Phone", and fails to start restoring it.
Help one desperate dude, please.
Thanks in advance

Do you have an unlocked bootloader?

As i understand you flashed with seus but it failed ...

This migth be a longshot but theres a forum thread in tjis Q&A stating that he could not fully flash (got inturupted)

But he solved it using wotan repair tool wich required a fee

Go find his thread and ask him for help if needed see if his problem relates to yours q

My phone is fully stock. Bootloader and ROM are (were?) the factory-installed ones.I didn't even get to root the thing! Tried tons of different FTFs already. Could it be my PC, maybe? I don't have another machine where to test. I can enter flashmode removing and reinserting battery, but phone fails to flash. SEUS once flashed it nearly until the end, but failed at around 90%...What makes me wonder what happened is the fact that the phone was bricked by an official update!

was something more to do with my laptop environment than the phone. Because the Wotan client came with it's own driver, which my device loaded and used when I connected it holding the back button, this seemed to make the phone stay in flash mode when connected.

From this experience I don't think holding the back button puts an X10 into flash mode, it merely asks the host 'can I be in flash mode?' and either the host says yes or no.

In the post i linked so i supposw it can be driver related.

An in that post it got it to STAY in flash mode ... try looking for drivers on seus webpage

1 more thing i found

- While this process is running, please don't disconnect your phone from PC. If you disconnect the phone or the battery power is dropped then the process will be interrupted..... causing your phone unbootable!!
But don't worry because you can repeat the step above to re-flash your phone until the process complete.

so let the phone charge for about an hour or two to make sure if you can not check its status

hope you get it running again!

Well, I left it charging. It won't get worse, since its dead as a brick already. When I arrive home i'll finish flashing LG O2X, then i'll give the x10 some attention.
