[Q] Galaxy S ii lte HD E120L/S Root/Roms?!

Thanks for the reply! I got my ICS rooted!

I am going to one-up you though, I'm going to post my own guide for the E120S that skips the Chinese forum

Begin

1. Go to Tegrak Maker's Page and download the "Tegrak-Kernel-Build-38-for-SHV-E120S-FD24.recovery.tar" only.
   • If you don't have it, get Odin3(v1.85) from somewhere.
2. Go to the Official Home of SuperUser and download Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip.
3. Connect USB storage and move the Superuser .zip file to /tegrak/update/ (if it doesn't exist, create it.)
4. Put your phone into download mode (power it off, then hold Volume Down + Home + Power until you get a screen in green and black. Release the keys and press Volume Up to enter Download mode).
5. You should have the phone connected via USB, obviously.
6. Fire up Odin. You should see a box light up with "COM#" inside of it.
7. Click "PDA" and find the Tegrak-Kernel-Build-38-for-SHV-E120S-FD24.recovery.tar you downloaded earlier. (The box next to 'PDA' will check itself. This is OK.)
8. Do not check or un-check anything else.
9. Click 'Start'. Do not unplug your phone, do not remove the battery from the phone. This should be quick, but may take a minute or two.
10. Your phone should restart. Allow it to boot fully.
11. Shut down your phone.
12. Boot your phone into recovery by holding Volume Up + Volume Down and Power.
13. Choose to install a zip. You should see the Superuser zip in the list.
14. Exit/Reboot when it is done.
15. Your App Drawer should have a 'Superuser' app in it now. Run it and make sure you get the all-clear/busybox.
16. Congrats, you're now rooted!

This worked! Great instructions and links for everything you need to root ICS.

hi all,
duno if i should be posting at this section but can't seem to find
a specific section for Lte/Lte Hd...

im ready to purchase the E120L...galaxy s2 lte hd...korean...
the thing i wanna ask...

is there any tutorial or guide or anyone know how to
Root the device?!

like im pretty sure it will come with a lot of crapware.
which i want to delete....

and anyone korean frds here that can help me find out forums in Korea with custom roms???

ps: xda should have a specific section for the lte Hd

I'm using Team Leader 1.3 at the moment. So do I install stock rom, upgrade to ICS then do this to get rooted ICS?

Official Roms are discoverable via the link in my XDA signature (resources for SHV-E120x). The latest L ROM I think hasn't been found but if so, just flash an older one and try KIES again. Good luck.

That may well be the gingerbread. If so (and you have hassles with Kies later) then there is an ics ROM on the kingsoft disk as well. It should be labelled Android 4.0.3 (24-05-2012)-- SHV-E120S.UE11 Not rooted

The e120s model does not have an SMS problem for me on ICS. But I can't use gosms, pansi SMS or any third party app.

No it is rooted stock rom for shv-120l you need rom form shv-120s. And taclo gave a link in a previous post for 120s

Read the post by Silver Seagull on how to root the e120s. Follow the steps exactly. If Odin fails to flash the recovery close Odin and open it again. It took me a few times before it passed. Make sure you do a factory data reset and wipe.

The room that after correcting the problem of messages ?
I have version 1.3 of the team leader And all the posts I have excellent work. Definitions of the messages I have, Automatically appears on the encoding. You saw only the unicode, ansi The rom is right for me?
