Hello! indeed, this topic is kinda forgotten... if everyone can link me the official samsung jelly beam 4.1.2 for the L model of ours lte, i ll be very happy! i actually have the custom room provided here, but im not happy with the 0.00kbs showing on the left corner (or if someone has a way to delete it, even better!).

I assume this still wont let me MMS or type more than 80 chars in SMS?
I'll have to flash again when/if ICS comes out? (any word on that or should I just wait until it's released?)

Just update to 4.1.2 from Kies. Then install Go SMS Pro from market. For me, problem solved.

I have read something about rooting on the rootz wiki site...but could not understand it clearly...coz it involved flashing some recovery from tagrak...

U sure about 4.1.2?

Just update to 4.1.2 from Kies. Then install Go SMS Pro from market. For me, problem solved.

Are u sure U updated to 4.1.2 from kies? i just updated from 2.3.6 and i now have 4.0.4.

Yes...even i believe you can update directly to 4.1.2 using kies if u have the L device...

Call Problems

Hi everyone,

Does anyone of you encountered call problems especially when the vehicle is moving? It takes 2 or 3 calls before I can hear the voice of the caller. Anyways I am using SHV-E120S i-R2 ROM 4.1.2. The ROM fixes the SMS Issue but the call doesn't.

Anyone who could help me as this problem is kinda annoying. TIA!

I am not on R2 rom but still i have faced a similar issue. I call someone and there is no sensation no voice ... nothing at all...but the call is actually connected...

I wonder if there is any solution for this...

In a day or two i will be flashing a new rom by zhibin... its still downloading...will update u on the same...

I have e120s too and Im not having this calling issues. Dont know for sure..maaybe I have it but not significant. Usually call connects and works normally. Im running stock jellybean updated through kies. if anyone having updating issues, Try market enabler and set it to SKT and right after dont go to play store or internet and connect to kies. it has helped lot of people.

And What is the version you are downloading? I tried to download zhibin ultimate but it always fails to complete. So I gave up. It would be great to have a working link for rest of us and thank you very much.

Hi, have you tried rootzwiki guide? I cant post outside links yet but search on google as "shv-e120s rooting rootzwiki"
its little bit messy english, but if you have little bit experience with ODIN and tar packages, its easy to understand. if not, I will upload required files for 120s and write a guide on rooting.
and by the way, I noticed you have mentioned android version as 4.2.1? we're still on 4.1.2 updated via kies. so if you have updated can you share more details about it?

Hi folks.

Really sorry for my absence was busy with some other things...

OK...So i was able to downloaded zhibin99's ultimate rom....after quite a many attempts.... and yes its working just fine **...

NOTE: This rom is for Galaxy S2 HD LTE SHV-E120S device only... i am not responsible if anyone with some other device flash this and create trouble for themselves...

Now there are some positive and negative sides to this rom .... but this is purely according to me... you may or may not face these.

+ points of the rom are:

1. Messaging not limited to 80 chars anymore....its 999 now....and has a lot of options like in CM10...also earlier i had the problem where i restored my old messages and was not able to see them....but with this rom i got back all my old messages...:good:
2. Its already rooted, so you can enjoy fiddling around with your device...
3. Ripple effect on lock screen....looks so good...
4. Has a built in call block mode....

- points of the rom are:

1. Seems a little slow to me at times....
2. I also faced a little call connectivity and wi-fi connectivity problems....

Point to note:

1. Before flashing this rom i was running stock 4.1.2 ... that i found in this thread itself...but after flashing this rom Clock and Messaging apps started crashing...so i booted into recovery and cleared data and cache....basically factory reset the phone and now things work just fine...
2. There is an option to show weather info on lock screen...but when i enable this option the app still crashes...and i dont have the solution for this...
3. The built in keyboard is absolutely useless... at least for non Chinese users.... make sure you download the jelly bean keyboard and install that...

The actual file size was a whooping 900+ MB...so....
I have divided the main file into smaller chunks and uploaded it to my Google drive account...

You can use WinRar to merge it back to a file.... if you dont know how to do this....you can search that on google...:highfive:
