[Q] galaxy s4 stutters when opening/closing apps?

Hi im new to this and this is my first post I am having issues with touchwiz lagging when u open or close apps. I would like to know if anyone may know what this is caused by? It's really frustrating and I also dont like my battery life if im on it it drains 1% every five minutes and if its idle about 1% an hour. Im not sure if thats right but my iphone used to last longer than this phone. I am on at&t build MF3 stock rom and rooted
any help would be muchly appreciated thank you

Factory reset.

You really believe I should do this? I tried factory reset before rooting and it helped a notch but would I restore from backup or start all over? And ill use this as a last resort. Do you have any other ideas? Or anyone?

Thank you so much that first guide helped so much with my battery although I am still seeing animation lag its not as much after following second guide still wanting to get rid of lag completely but once again thank you for helping my stubborn mind lol:good:
