I just recently rooted my Nook HD and replaced the stock home launcher with one that suits me. How do I get back to my books and magazines and Nook Store easily without having to go back to the other home?

I used to have a similar problem. There are a few solutions

1. Go into the play store and download a home switcher.
2. Go into the play store and download a new launcher (can be uninstalled right after)
3. (Probably better one) download an app called soft keys. Set up the app. When it's all done, tap the icon and look for soft key settings. Change the settings for the soft home key so it goes to the Barnes and noble nook launcher.

One and two are only temporary fixes. They will only bring you to the default launcher that time unless set otherwise. The third option allows you to switch anytime easily.

Good luck :)

What is wrong with going back to stock home to find shop and library? Or do you mean without setting stock home as default?

Use anycut to add the library or home icon to your launcher screen. Long press screen, select shortcut, anycut, activity, scroll to home or library and say ok.

Another method is to go to settings/apps and home and uncheck recent drawer for quick corner.
