Hello guys,

Searched for this problem but couldn't get it in any threads...
I own a Xperia Arc-LT15i, rooted using Flashtool and bootloader unlocked.
Recently flashed CyanogenMod stable version...
Seems to be far better than the stock ROM but I find that some apps like 3D camera and International keyboard apps are missing...I really need those.
Did a search to install those apps from my nandroid backup to /system/app folder but that didn't work...
Tried using flashtool to install the apk files but even that failed...:(

So, I want to go back to my stock ROM(2.3.4- .42 firmware)...
When I try to flash ftf file thru flashtool, it didn't work and later I got to know that I ll have to install the KERNEL.SIN file first....But How TO INSTALL KERNEL.SIN file over my existing ROM?
Please gimme the instructions(if possible with images).
I tried to following the method given in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352830

but I got a error saying DRIVERS NEED TO BE INSTALLED FOR CONNECTED DEVICES(IMAGE ATTACHED)...I installed drivers using the exe file given in flashtool but didn't work.

What mistake am i doing?

PLEASE HELP ME REG. THIS OR I WOULD BE HIGHLY SATISFIED IF I CAN INSTALL THOSE APK FILES IN CYANOGENMOD .

Thank you

Make sure you have the latest SE drivers installed on your machine.. No need to flash the .sin file. When u use .ftf file through Flashtool, it replaces the kernel alongwith the rom.. Install the latest drivers and try flashing it again..

All d best. :)

try wotan server..using it you can flash stock rom..just google it
Tried WotanServer...As soon as I put my phone in flashmode, PC hangs...same is the case with flashtool and SEUS or PC companion...
I guess it should be the problem with drivers...but what could be the solution??
Should i try in some other PC/laptop?

See my previous reply...PC hangs when i try to connect my phone in flashmode, no matter whatever software i use..have tried Wotan, Sony Update Service, PC Companion...
Any other method?
I read in some thread that it might be the problem with the drivers..but no body has told how to resolve..One option cud be to do the same in some other System...

Do this, go to the flashtool folder and install the drivers provided
The arc, fastboot, and adb ones

Download an ftf file and flash via flashtool
No kernel.sin needed

Just download the .42 firmware and flash it

Install the drivers tho !
Its in C:\Flashtool\drivers
reboot and then flash

HEY GUYS...
Figured out the problem....
It was reg. the drivers only...When you install CyanogenMod, you have to install S1 boot drivers and that messes up everything when you try to install any other driver next time...
I HAD TO FLASH THE .42 FTF FILE IN MY LAPTOP...So, clearly the problem was with the system and the drivers...
But I had downloaded ARC drivers from SE website and installed ..Dunno why still the problem was there...LEMME KNOW IF U FIND OUT...

Thanks for all your help...
I had thought it to be a problem with flashtool but turned out the other way...

Good day....
