I recently tried to upgrade from cm7.2 rc1 to cm7 white rabbit 1.5

unfortunately, i had lots of FCs and the power widget wasn't working properly, and i couldn't switch between 2g/3g.

I just reflashed to the latest cm7.2 nightly and have restored my backup and everything is almost all setup.

My only little annoyance is the search is no longer google search, but the older slightly cartoon-ish version of search.

A while back, i accidentally downloaded some apps on a 2nd email account in the play store, so google search is downloaded on my 2nd email instead of my main email account. This has not been a problem before, but now i can't access the newer google search when touching my search button.

I can't figure out how to get rid of the older "search" and replace it with the newer"google search"

thanks

I think my description was poor. Let me try again:

Attached is a pic of my app drawer. Since installing white rabbit I've had the older search in addition to the newer search. It is also linked to my search button. I tried to uninstall it, but it doesn't work.

I have since reverted to cm7.2 rc1 and did full data wipe. I still have the two search apps though.

I know it's a small annoyance, but I'd appreciate any help/ideas.

Thanks

It's a real small annoyance,

I think u need restart for the first step...
You can use a root unistaller to delete one
If I remove the search on the left (the old one) that's currently linked to my search button, it won't mess up my phone? Will it know to use the other search instead?

Also, I have rebooted my phone many times, but it looks like the older search stays. it also is not recognized in the Play store.

thanks
