I mentioned in my earlier thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466088, my dilemma, and now I'm using the GS3 ToolKit
Method to try and recover. My problem is I don't know which device model and build I should use. My phone is an SGH-T999N (a t-mobile variant) but my carrier, from which I purchased the phone, is MetroPCS. I've tried several times with the T-Mobile builds, and they haven't done anything to help me. The MetroPCS build that I see listed is SCH-R530M, I'm hesistant to use it cause I'm afraid it will further damage my phone. Which build should/can I use to help?

O Man, Don't ever do that, go here this is the thread and guidance you need to follow. Its difficult to get the Original MetroPCS ROM, it came with T999NUVAME4, if you can find this ROM by googling, searching anywhere and everywhere well and good, if not understand this.

MetroPCS SGH T999N, and T-mobile LTE variant is SGH T999L, Thier FCCID is the same ending in T999L, which means its the same phone. But you you may need to change APN settings for you to connect to MetroPCS

Open APN and change settings to

apn carrier="MetroPCS LTE"
mcc="310"
mnc="260"
extraid=""
apn="fast.metropcs.com"
user=""
password=""
authtype="0"
server=""
proxy='"
port=""
mmsc="http://metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc"
mmsproxy=""
mmsport=""
type="default,mms,supl"
preferapp=""

so read the above link, it has all the details you need to recover your phone, thank the developer and ask any question you may have in that thread. Do not post everywhere, its important to stick with one thread that is meant for your phone.

or, you can even ask help on that thread with regards to your concern.
