THANK YOU ALL FOR your amazing will to help!!! Can't thank you enough!

By the way, on the phone display, it's stuck exactly between the "D" and the "o" of the word "downloading" (if you know what I am mean here, not sure I am explaining myself right)

i will try a different USB and PORT

(wow my anxiety is through the roof)

I used it for the first time the other day and it went great, I actually used it 3 times in the same day...long story. I've heard about the port thing but it never did anything different for me. If you installed Odin correctly and It has the stock file for your phone than it should work.

When you open the Odin folder you should see 2 things, the Odin program in which youd launch and the stock file for your phone, the stock file needs to be extracted or unzipped (not sure which is the correct term) run Odin, plug phone in, select file from pit tab, stick start.

IT WORKED (didn't change anything, just didn't touch the phone this time - how could this be related though? bad USB cord? just lucky?)

Yea if your using a aftermarket cord.it.can.do.that
But sometimes the stock.cord just doesn't pick.up correctly
Happened to me long ago

I was getting the same problem but different places on differnt trys. AdamOutler helped me by switching to heimdall and it ran it in less than 5 min. Odin was barely noticing my phone half the time and the other half was getting stuck

Do you have the drivers? Try another USB cord and port.
