[Q] Headphones not working at all

I just got a Galaxy S2 (gift from a friend) but without headphones.

So i try 3 headphones i've in home.

1.- from Sony (really cheap)
2.- from Shark the most cheap i guess haha
3.- Another Sony (i use in the PC)

Sorry, but i don't have the model of each headphone :/

The thing is that any of them are working at ALL, so my question is the GS2 needs a compatible headphone? or maybe my jack 3.5 output is damaged?

btw, i'm curretly using a BT Headset and they're working really great!

Galaxy s2 uses universal jack 3.5mm, you can use all types of headphones,
i use psp headphones (very cheap) and Beyerdinamic (expensive with high quality)

I just call Samsung for assistance and a guy (I really doubt about his knowledge lol) told me GS2 can't use any other headphone that Samsung's headphone.

Grrr.. this is driving me crazy.. i went to the place i bought the phone and they told me i need to use a original samsung headphone to listen to music and that the jack plug was fine.. (but didn't have any to sell in that moment)

The stuff you were told above that I bolded is BS. I use cheap Sony headphones in my phone all the time.

Admittedly, sound is MUCH MUCH better with my OEM Samsung headphones that came with the phone, but other headphones work fine.
