So all was fine, until i tried to play music, using google play music, it stopped playing through the right ear mid song, anyone else having headphone jack issues?
I have a issue with my jack, it detects a headphone ( it will stop playing music when removed ) but it wont output audio via it !

TBH the whole audio on this phone is shoddy at the best, sounds tinny as feck and has ni EQ out the box.

Yurns out google cant even make a music app let alone a camera !

I've managed to figure out, my skullcandys broke it, if i plug them in, and pull REALLY hard down the back of the phone, it'll play from both, but only on the skullcandys, I was using beats beforehand, the jacks are different on both :/

I had this issue years ago on my note 2 with Auxiliary 3.5mm cables for my car. When purchasing cables or headphones you need to be careful especially with phones. Some manufacturers of cables and headphones go cheaper and do not manufacturer to the spec correctly. You will see a difference in the thickness of the connectors. So sometimes after using a thicker connector the ring contact in the port will bend out and connectors with smaller connectors will have this problem. Things to try.

1) Using compressed air make sure there is no lint in the connector.
2) Make sure the connector is pushed all the way in.
3) Test additional headphones/aux cords. Do any work correctly? If so compare connectors to each other. If the ones working are thicker you could stick to those or using a very small screwdriver to gently pry this contact more into the plug chamber. Be careful as the contact is fairly delicate.

I haven't had any issues with the 4 sets of headphones that I tested. It could be a loose plug or a worn out plug.
