[Q] HELP - 8march cm9 rom problem

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME..
i flashed 8th march cm9 quarx rom for cm7 froyo kernel
i followed this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432100

and now im having some trouble like frequent crashes (without doing anything) and outgoing calls arent being registered in the call log.. heres wat i did..

i had galnet miui installed over a month ago..

ok so i went to recovery, wiped Data flashed ICS(Defy) 8th march quarx for froyo kernel then flashed CM7 Kernel as it said, then cleared Cache and Dalvik Cache. rebooted and saw i was missing google apps such as market so went to recovery and flashed gapps.zip and reboot. Can anyone tel me where i went wrong? and what to do next..

ok i tried installing apex launcher for the first problem (crashing to homescreen) just now and till now it is fine though a bit laggy.. but i still have the problem with call log that wen i dial a number its shows dialing 'unknown' and after the call also it shows 'unknown' in the call log.. is there some way i can install the dialer and contact apk again..

You can fix the "caller unknown" issue by going to Dialer -> Settings -> Additional settings -> Caller ID then check "Show number".

thanx for the reply man.. but the caller id option is greyed out so i cant select n change it and it says "use default operator settings to display my number in outgoing calls".. doesnt ne1 else have this problem? does ne1 have ne kind of solution..

You can, but you need to move really-really fast and select it before it gets greyed out. There are some users with this issue, and it worked for them. Try it and tell me if it worked.

hey thanx man.. i restarted my phone and checked it again.. luckily it takes time to grey out so i clicked it before it greyed out and changed it!!! :D yeap it working now!! thanx a ton.. this was a major issue fer me.. heh..:)
