I got sort of the same problem but my device is shown in device manager and properly installed. The fastboot command recognizes my device but the ADB command doesnt recognize the phone when in fastboot. THough it does recognize it when in ormal mode. Kind of stuck after hours and hours of figuring this out.. I really hope someone can point me in the right direcition.

I have a solution for you. Install the driver using the latest flashtool from here HERE

Step 1: Download and install Flashtool
Step 2: Use Flashtool to install driver. You have to navigate to this folder and install driver using Flashtool (see pics below)

Step 2: Update the driver and select the driver manually (see pictures below)

Picture below shows that driver is installed

Now you can use fastboot!
I've tried the same thing several times but my xperia u exits the fast boot mode and starts charging. Also when i point to the donloadinf folder it says not able to install device driver software and the process just exits. Any idea hat could be the problem and how i could solve it?
An answer is appreciated because i've been banging my head on it for weeks !!

If you don't have sony on the list, you probably have android device on the list. click it. After that, 3 options appear, choose the first one (adb).

Another Solution/Method

A method I found somewhere on the Internet (works for my xperia):

I do Step 2 as fast as I can while my Xperia Acro S is in the temporary fastboot mode. That means I completed step 2 before my xperia starts entering the charging mode. If I recall correctly, the time before my xperia enter the charging mode is about 5 seconds.
So you need to do it as fast as you can. I spam this method for 20 minutes until it worked :victory:

Thanks for this fix, worked for me before.
Recently got a new computer and needed to apply this fix, but photobucket bandwidth exceeded.
When you get some time, could you please put into text, the contents of the pictures?
Thanks again.

Which driver works for "S1Boot Fastboot" device on Windows 10?
U can search for flashtool driver on google or it is also present in flashtool setup. Just go to the flashtool in /c derive. Then go to driver folder and install the setup. But there is one thing you have to do before installing the driver. That is, you have to turn off the "signature verification" by going to settings>advanced setting>reboot> then choose turn off the segnature verification.
