[Q] Help please

Hello everyone,
I am new to android and I have got my DEFY for about 4 months now. And now I am considering Rooting it and flashing a new rom.
After reading through, I feel pretty confident, But,
I want your help in telling me, which ROM is the best and stable( in perfect condition) right now?
Also, I am confused about lens, I have a GREEN lens, but, on running logcat, It says i have BAYER module, so, can I record 720p HD?
Also, help me get a ROM for this..
Any help or comment would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

My defy is the lens green and I'm using CM9 perfectly. I have already installed the latest CM7 and was also ok. With demannd by overclocking the phone is fast, but the camera does not record in 720p ...

But this is no problem ... leave the custom ROMs defy much faster ...

Still, sorry. But, I remain undecided as this is m first time and one could say I am even worse than a noobie!!
CM9 I think still has bugs, right? (@rafaelcremm)
And, I got BAYER module with Green lens, doesn't having BAYER module help get 720p recording??
Also, I for some reason don't like the NO app drawer styles I saw of MIUI, so, may be CM..
But still anymore help would deeply be appreciated.
@zed_fauji, I checked the link and it was helpful.. Still waiting to get a clearer picture before jumping into.

P.S. My phone is a DEFY MB525 with green lens and BAYER module,A rooting Guide I found at the start of the Forum is good, But do we do those things onPC or Mobile?? (on rooting)

For rooting you connect the Defy on the PC, install the moto drivers, and root vía SuperOneClick,
Dont forget to enable USB debugging before rooting !!
Motorola Defy CM7 RC 1.5 OC 1GHz

ok just take my advice.. just for once try LiquidArc by jboogie. @1ghz. i ll post setvsel setting. but just try it for once..! until we get a stable version of cm9 or cm7.2 . it would be far better. trust me..

@fauji, I have been offline for a few months. I rooted my Defy and now I'm using setvsel, let me know the best conditions for it. Also, if I change Rom, how could I back up all my data ?

Since you have rooted, install 2ndinit...
boot into recovery and backup everything..
If you want to backup only the apps and its data, use Titanium Backup.

I did and now I'm on the latest CM10 by Quarx.
