[Q] Help : SGS - Unable to upgrade

Hi all

I am having an unlocked Galaxy S, currently on Eclair. I wanted to upgrade it to ICS with Dark Knight Rom. I rooted it and then installed ROM Manager. But now this ROM manager is not working . I am unable to go into Recovery mode.Also, 3 button method doesn't work on my phone.I am unable to use adb as I am not that much techie .. I tried other methods like Emulator, tried to root my set again but no use. Can someone please help to upgrade my phone.

usb jig, try download muspelhein and forcing it into DL mode

so u mean with this file i can enter into dl mode or Iwill have to use that jig too alongwith this file ? Please confirm

heres how to create a jig, once you make a usb jig you're phone can go to download mode http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551&highlight=usb+jig

Thanks for this wonderful tool "Muspelheim" , I am able to get into recovery mod. But can u tel me the steps of installing rom. I want to install Dark Knight on my fone. Because in recovery mode no such option is available in which I could select zip folder from sd card

At first you need a gingerbread rom with cwm. So you need the download mode to flash with odin. If you have a running GB rom, then you flash another rom.
