X10i

Hi, after messing around installing many different android versions and basebands I am now worried I may have bricked it. I changed to another rom today, and when it booted up again it now says *baseband unknown* to start with I assumed it was because the rom wasnt built for the baseband, so I flashed the baseband listed in the post to no avail, since then I have flashed various basebands and various roms but it is listed as *baseband unknown* in them all. Any ideas how to fix??

Because many roms need to "crash the system server" in Dev tools - Bad behavior...

Well i have tried alot of roms, latest free x10, latest cyanogen gingerbread, and trips ''iris'', as for baseband i hvae tried whatever the thread calls for

So is your phone working again, if not, what ROM did you just CURRENTLY flash at the moment and what is the Current baseband did you put on the phone too?

I've found it impossible to brick my X10 even when messing up Xrecovery backups. Sony erricson update service will put stock 2.1 back on pretty much regardless of what you screw up software wise.

In fact I lost my Xrecovery backup earlier and bricked it, then had to use this method to recover, then re installed a custom ROM after the 2.1 restore.

i tried the tripmiui rom today and everything started working again, dont know what the hell yesterday was all about, anyway cheers for the replies.

Hey guys!
I also have problem with Baseband: unknown! But my main problem is that mobile works arround 3-5 minutes and than goes to sleep (shut down). and only way for turning it back on is to pull out the battery, wait for few minutes and plug batt back in and than turn it on. And that way of turning on is not always successful. Sometimes i need to repeat that precedure few times untill it works.

I try to flash it with SEUS, where he worn me that its already the latest soft but i reflash it anyway. After that procedure finished I was unable to turn it on again. Just yellow triangle appear and than back to black without backlight. Than again, batt out...etc..

So i flashed it again with Flashtool and put Sony Ericsson X10i_2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897.
After that everything the same. Baseband unknown, working 3-5 min than shuts down....
and one more thing that i didnt mention is that everthing works except SIM card, cant recognize it.
And now i am at low batt..

So, considering that am not so good in that soft stuff i would be appreciated if someone have some kind of idea what to do next!

Hi, check if you can install another firmware from here.

There is a 1.6 firmware that allow you install updates from seus. If you don't find a firmware to your operator, try another one.

And after that i unplug phone and startit with power button but same thing, couldnt boot. Than i take batt out and plug it backa nd turn on the phone, h wibrate on half second and after 2-3 seconds starts continuously vibrate.
Than i go to SEUS and it says i already have the latest software but i click to flash it and status bar came all the way till end and says installation unsaccessful!?

About device ID. Under VID_0FCE&PID_ADDE i have 2 keynames. 6&279003f5&0&1 and 6&279003f5&0&2. So, I am assuming that i am using the wrong one?! Can i delete both and connect again phone and get back to see which one came up and remmember which usb port i used?! Can it be done that way?

One more thing. Charging the phone. Its almost immpossible. Its charging only that 2-3 minutes before shuts down. And I found out that its charging little bit longer when i unplug batt, wait for 5 or more minuts (not working if i just unplug batt for few seconds?!) plug batt back in and just connect charger without turning phone on. Than he will charge for 10 min maybe and than again just turn off... Strange like hell! hehe

Anyway, sorry for long post, but is there anything else i should do to make this phone working? And is the wrong thing with flashing method from above, Device ID?
