I don't have access to Windows. I rely on Heimdall, an incredibly awesome open source alternative to Odin.

How is Odin one click packaged? The three click had most of the components ( modem, zImage, etc.) in readily identifiable separate files. one clicks seem to be monolithic exe files.

If i knew the underlying compression of the exe, I should be able to find an extraction utility...

Any thoughts? I keep searching and get bogged downby irrelevant results.

Thanks!

I know the program was closed source, I just anticipated some sort of common decompression to be going on ( and accessible). Thanks for clarifying.

In that case, can you point me in the direction of separate files for a stock at&t ( froyo preferred) dump? I am looking for bootloaders, param.rfs, etc. I have individual pieces, but when I md5 identical files, they come up different. Either my download was corrupted, or different dumps have come up with different data. I would like to have a pure and consistent stock for rescue purposes...

Thanks!

I was also having a similar challenge until i landed on the link below. It has both Windows and Linux versions of the same program. Does wonders.
