If i shut off and turn back on lte once again and e once again. I have it on global. Im think its stick rom or at l3ast i was hoping. And i thought you couldn't use a tmibile rom on verizon s5 thought it would beick?

Sounds like you get to be one of the lucky ones that is having odd issues. The word "lucky" there is total sarcasm Lol. I'd say give an NE9 ROM a shot. If you don't know how to use Odin to do that, it isn't hard at all to figure out. If you do decide to try it, I will be able to help you later today if you have trouble.
Now on the bricking part and using a T-Mobile ROM, since we use SafeStrap recovery, it's almost impossible to actually brick the phone. Especially if you're flashing just a ROM and no firmware. It will put the ROM on top of the Verizon firmware, which is the kernel and baseband and all other important stuff. Now granted, it might not want to boot correctly, but you can just flash a Verizon ROM or restore a backup if that happens.

Thanks again ive used oden before. The ne9 rom can i loaf it if im on ni2? And do you have a link to correct rom. Thx again
You will need to use Odin to flash either a complete NE9 retail tar, or flash just the NE9 firmware if you use a custom NE9 based ROM. This is the link for all of the stock stuff. http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...ment/stock-collection-kernels-modems-t2842069
Before you even bother with a custom ROM, try this one and add the APN to test your service.

If it doesn't help, you can go back to the current NI2 stock with this

All of these ROM's are flashed with Odin. SafeStrap is for custom ROM's. They are full stock and not rooted. If you want to go straight to custom get Alliance and flash with SafeStrap.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver.../rom-alliancerom-build-3-rom-control-t2818632
Then flash just the NE9 firmware immediately after you flash the ROM. This is the firmware you will need to flash with Odin

I hope this isn't too confusing.

Sorry for the late reply, had to go to the doctor. Yes you are correct. Just flash the NE9 firmware with Odin and you'll be good to go. Remember, just the firmware, not the retail tar.

I don't mind helping anyone. I'm just glad you got it working. Now you have a great ROM on your phone.

I put an AT&T SIM in a VZW Galaxy S5, set up the APN according to the AT&T website and everything seems to be in working order (minus LTE) and voicemail. How do I get voicemail to work?

Go to contacts, settings, call, voice mail settings, change the number to your phone number. It's still dialing *86 which is how you reach voicemail on verizon.

I changed the voicemail number from*86 to 1-888-288-8893 but it still doesn't work. Also, I disable the setup wizard for the unknown Sim but it popped back up and the phone was not restarted. Any ideas?

Did you ever get voicemail to work? What about LTE. I'm seeing mixed results regarding that part.
You can't use the verizon voicemail app for voicemail. I am on Consumer Cellular and put CC's voicemail number in the voicemail number, but I have to use direct dial. I just changed the icon to the voicemail icon. If I remember correctly, touching notification uses the direct dial once I have the shortcut made, but I'd have to test to make sure.

AT&T Sim in Verizon GS5

When I try to return a call from the "Recents" list, it appends a "+" to the front of the number. I have worked around this with Prefixer app, but would rather find a way to fix it.

When receiving a call, if I try to reject it with a text message, the message appends a + to the front of the number, and the text fails. This is a huge issue for me, because I use my gear 2 neo to answer/reject calls, and that is a feature I pretty much need.

I'm pretty good at digging around in settings and files, but for the life of me, I haven't been able to figure this one out. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Assisted dialing is off, that didn't help.

For others that may be having this issue, download the app "Prefixer", and set up a rule to remove the character + from all calls. That is a workaround for the calling part, but not the text part.

Did you try turning off Assisted Dialing in Phone Settings?

Yes (I stated in my post that assisted dialing was turned off :D).

It's got to be a difference in the way Verizon and AT&T differ in handling response calls and texts. I'm sure there is a file somewhere that dictates putting the "+" in front, but I don't know enough about the file system to even begin to look.
