So, with a new ICS Update ready to roll at any time now according to multiple sources including Gary Key, like many people I have been watching closely for word of an OTA roll out.

SO: I checked for an update to see if anything was available and CRAP! I have an update. Why am I not happy? Well, I rolled back to .14 to resolve a couple of issues (successfully) and when .15 kept notifying me I just ignored it and eventually it felt unloved and went away. It has not bothered me since (about a month) but now... how the heck am I supposed to get .19 (or.20) without doing this first? There is nothing in .15 update that I want, and there are a few things that cause me issues, so ideally I would like to skip it, bypass it, leapfrog it, WHATEVER, LOL! and get to .19 from .14

a) is it possible?
b) would I have to wait for the .19 or .20 to be available for a manual update?

I am open to ANY ideas here... But I know the obvious. Either roll THROUGH the .15 to .19 or manually apply .19 (after a week or so for someone to make the package available. I am kicking myself because while I do not know what mechanism Asus uses for version checking, my hope was that one the .19 was avail on the FOTO servers. I could have just checked THEN, and perhaps skipped .15. Damn my impatience! "Okay... I Damn thee!" - Steve Martin in "The Jerk"

Here's how I do it

Root it
Let it download the update
Use ES or root explorer and delete the dlpgkxxx file in /cache folder
Hit that arrow that tells you theres an update and let it update
It wont complete the update since you deleted the file
Hit OK and it will revert back to previous screen
Shouldn't ask you after this
You can wait till .19 rolls around then do a check for update again and it should download the latest version for you or you manually can flash it if you find the zip

There's another way. You need titanium backup and freeze one of the processes. I'll post when I find it.

EDIT: Ok maybe I need to reread your question..lol. I think I misunderstood. Let me know if I answered it correctly.

I don't know your specific reasons for not wanting the .15 update. However keep in mind that the .19 update will most likely have all of the changes included in the .15 update baked into it.
