[Q] How fast does CM10.1 boot on your HD+?

I've noticed really long boot times on my Nook HD+ with CM10.1 on the emmc. I'm currently using verygreen's 20130708 emmc only build.

The boot is so long I was worried that it was frozen. But I waited just to see and it did finally finish the boot. I timed it just to see. In fact, I booted and rebooted several times, and timed them. I followed the same proceedure each time, powered the Nook off gracefully, then powered on again. Once it was at the lock screen, I would enter my PIN and then swipe around the home screen for a few seconds just to make sure it was up and running OK. Then power it off gracefully again. There were a few times that the Nook wouldn't complete the boot. For those times I forced a power-off by holding the power button. Then I powered up again. The times below are all from pressing the power button to when the lock screen appears.

First: 3 min 3 sec
Second: 6 min 52 sec
Third: didn't complete boot (sat at spinning CyanogenMod circle for 20 minutes)
Fourth: didn't complete boot (I only waited 10 min this time)

I then removed the microSD card and booted it again. (SanDisk Class 4 32gig card)

Fifth: 2 min 25 sec
Sixth: 47 sec!!!
Seventh: 3 min 55 sec
Eighth: 47 sec!!!
Ninth: 4 min 23 sec
Tenth: did not complete boot (waited 10 min)

I did notice that it was consistant about how long it took to get to the skewed CyanogenMod circle (18 sec) and the correctly displayed CyanogenMod cirle (30 sec). It was always the part of the boot process at the correctly displayed CM circle that varied.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
How long does your Nook HD+ take to boot with CM10.1?

I'm getting ready to wipe it and reinstall.

for me it takes about 25-30 seconds for it to boot to the lock screen from when it is completely shut off.

im currently running verygreen's 20130708 as well. also i have the 16gb hd+ in case you are wondering.

the best thing to try i would think is to wipe it fully and reinstall the verygreen's 20130708 again. I am using twrp 2.6.0.0 to flash my roms in case you are wondering.

After the above, I ran out to grab a quick sandwich (mmmmm.... Jimmy Johns) and started trying to boot this puppy again.

After the tenth boot above failed, I decided to put the microSD card back in.

Eleventh: 1 min 10 sec.

Once it booted up, it occurred to me that the WiFi where I'm at is sketchy. So I turned WiFi off and tried again.

Twelveth: 1 min 12 sec
Thirteenth: 3 min 46 sec
Fourteenth: 1 min 5 sec
Fifteenth: 5 min 53 sec

This is silly. I'm going to wipe it and reinstall.

Takes me about 30 seconds on Carbon ROM

Mine boot up pretty fast with cm10.1. The CyanogemMod circle does not fully start spinning fast and I am already on the Lock Screen. Of all the rooted tablets I have (Nook Color, Nook tablet, KF, TP), this one seem to boot the fastest.

My hd+ takes about the same time(~30sec) to boot. 16g. 20130706 on emmc.

Thanks guys. After my wipe and reinstall, my boot times went back to normal. My Nook HD+ now boots in about 26 seconds. (w00t!)
