Specifically, what kind of difference is there when using 3G data? I recently got a data plan for my Xperia T, which was on the latest OmniROM nightly at the time. I noticed that the battery tended to drain ridiculously fast when using data compared with WiFi. I have now switched to the latest stock firmware in an attempt to eke out better battery life on 3G, but I'm going to be out of service range for a few days, so I was wondering if anyone else had ever had experience with this.

So for those of you who use lots of 3G data, do you find there to be a significant difference in battery life between OmniROM/CM and stock? Thanks!

I have a V.

I did not find any significant difference in battery life using 3G data connections in between differend ROMs. The fuel consumption of my Omni is about 20 - 25 % higher than with 4.12 stock.

Switching to ART seems to help some, but I did not finish my studies yet.

Another thing, no Stamina app. People who use Dalvik report abt 3 -4 % deep sleep battery usage / h. On all my (debloated) Dalvic systems in deep sleep I had a virtually dead phone with Stamina. Overnight 8 h period max 1 % usage.

Is the 8h, 1% usage you're quoting while using ART? I might switch then...I was on stock for a few days but then I switched back to OmniROM because I really just like having vanilla Android 4.4 a lot more than Sony's 4.3 :p
