[Q] How to install CWM recovery on Samsung Captivate i897?

i have tried many times times to install CWM recovery on my captivate and bricked my phone once in the process. can anyone explain to me in full detail how to install CWM recovery on Samsung Captivate
it is rooted
i really want to flash more ROM's but cant do it with the stock recovery
the stats are android 2.3.5
Kernel v2.6.35.7-I897 blah blah
(not sure if you would need that stuff but whatever)
