[Q] how to launch MTK engineer mode?

Xperia C is perfect, but the lowest sound volume is too much loud for me, and i find out a way to modify the volume through the MTK engineer mode.
but i can't run it, even through the MobileUndle toolkit.
if any one can give me some help, that will be great.

use root explorer, go to build.prop and locate the line ro.build.type=user and change it to ro.build.type=userdebug,save and reboot,now go to mtk engineer mode on mobile uncle tools and it will open.done dont forget to backup your build.prop file!

I've updated build.porp,but the general engineer model is ok, but the MTK one is still not works.

/system/app/engineermode.odex
3-Put the file in /system/app with root explorer and set permissions rw-r--r--
4-Restart your phone.

Note: dial *#*#3646633#*#* to reach engineer mode

i'm going to restore B.2.13 rom, and then try again.

1-Download it from below.
2-Delete /system/app/engineermode.apk
/system/app/engineermode.odex
3-Put the file in /system/app with root explorer and set permissions rw-r--r--
4-Restart your phone.

Note: dial *#*#3646633#*#* to reach engineer mode

It works on mine, i am on B.2.13 original version. Try it after restore it should work:good:

After numerous attempts, this method worked on mine. XC on the latest firmware build and (finally!) rooted it.

Hey guys I read all the thread but it is not working on my Sony Xperia M C2005. Actually I am new in xda.I downloaded that file and pasted in system<apps and restarted the phone.When I run it with code or shortcut master lite, It shows the dialogue box that engineering mode has stopped working. I don't know why is this happening. I want to make my phone 4g with engineering mode but there is no engineering mode apk in my system.So I downloaded that file.So if anyone know what can I do then I will be very thankful to you.:highfive:

I had not engineering mode apk in my device. So I downloaded that one as I mentioned before.So if anyone have engineering mode apk for qualcomm chipset. So please post that file.I will be thankful to him.:highfive:
