[Q] how to make volume go up by 1% instead of 6% each click

I think my captivate is WAY too loud. When I listen to music with my ear buds I just can't listen for also long because it hurts my ears. I even tried to use to custom setting for the music player but I still find it loud. What I noticed was that each time when I click up to volume up it goes up by 6% instead of 1%. So is there a way to makeep it go up my 1% each click so I can have more specific volume?

What ROM are you on? I bet voodoo sound would help. You need the app, and a kernel that supports it.
