Does anyone know how to remap keys on Optimus L9 ?

I want remap one of my capacitive buttons

Ie.

Option key  to  Recent App button

how do i do this ??? Has anyone done this before ?

Is this possible?

I too wanted to remap hardware home key to menu key in CM10.1 .

Tried changing values in /system/usr/keylayout/touch_dev.kl but that seems to handle soft-keys.

Can I remap hardware home key to menu key in CM10.1?

In cm 10.1 it's real easy. Go to settings > system > hardware keys and check "enable custom actions"

Nope . In Hardware keys of CM10.1 there is home key long press action but no regular home key action. Similarly there is no back key remap function, but it is possible to remap back key through /system/usr/keylayout/touch_dev.kl file.

I only need home key remap to menu key.


EDIT :
Thanks to this POST. Hardware home key can be remapped by editing key 172 of /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl file. WAKE can also be added after edit.
