Easiest way to Root Lava
simply use FrameRoot 1.5.3 apk in your phone,
select install superuser, then click on borimor.
Restart your Lava Iris 405,
Done....
Download FrameRoot 1.5.3

Yup...but no need to worry about anything... just limit background processes to 1 before you play...you will get 270-300 mb free
Nice to see this thread chugging along. Now if the JB 4.2 turned up things would be perfect.
i hv tried dat b4 buddy but it only freed up 200 mb wch isnt enough for some games

Kitkat 4.4
Hi all,
I guess we need to think about porting Cyanogenmod for Kitkat 4.4. It is very lightweight and can run like a charm even on devices with underpowered graphics. I have a Lava Iris 405 and an old Samsung i9003. I have been able to run Kitkat 4.4.2 on i9003 and guess what it runs better than the stock Gingerbread. Thanks to XDA dev group for making this happen.
I am sure Kitkat is the way to go for our Iris 405. Anybody in for Kitkat on Iris405?

It didn't start on mine either. In fact neither is Brothers in Arms. Keeps saying device not supported. Weird. And as I said Blood and Glory Legend is crashing. I'll check out the swap file procedure.
On the plus side my battery doesn't seem to die out that often. I play games like Dead Space and Mass Effect for like two hours and listen to music for another two. Browsing say one hour. Lasts the day on a full night charge. Reduce the screen brightness to minimum and keep GPS and WiFi off when not needed.
Still any better battery service would always be welcome. I'll check out the other apps as well.
Finally any idea whether we can get Jelly Bean 4.2 for the device ? Lava spoke of FOTA and everything but where the hell are the updates ? Samsung would have released at least two by this time!

The swap it didn't work. Said my SD card speed is 3MB/s when minimum MB/s is needed. Any suggestions on how to fix this without increasing my card class ? If that is the only way I'll wait a month and get a Class 10 16GB card.
Any other apps maybe ?

BRO its because of the compatibility issue created by gameloft games
when they go first time run to internet they will check ur build.prop file of the phone
unfortunately lava iris 405 is not in gameloft list
so the game wont start
for this we have to edit our build.prop to some other phone model
i have changed mine to lg optimus 2x by trying this

Today I tried to install asphalt 7...
Downloaded the game and followed all the given instructions...
But dude the game is not starting.....:crying:
What do i do????
