[Q] How to root Lenovo TAB A7-40 A3500-FL? [Solved] [GUIDE]

Hello everybody,

I think I bricked my doughters device
She forgot her pin and I factory reseted her tablet.
First I made a backup in recovery. After resetting I tried to root the device.
After setting up the tab I booted into cwm to flash supersu, but there was
original recovery again, not cwm... I switched off the tab and hold down some
keys, maybe the wrong combination, and restart.
I landed in something looked like the bootloader, but language was chinese.
From there I tried to reboot again, but the device stays off. That´s the situation
till now
I hope someone can help.

i've the same problem, my tab a3500fl seem bricked with no CWM...i try to flash CMW with the thread tutorial but flashtool dont see the tab :
- lenovo tab is still recognise as MTP device under windows, i install manually all the mtk drivers but when i plug the tab, windows installs automaticly MTP drivers (i think usb debugging on the tab is OFF)
someone can help me ?

After it installs the drivers got management and unistall those drivers which it installs automatically. And after that, install those unsigned ones.

before select factory reset under android, do i flash the stock recovery before ?
is there someting else to do?

Yes flash the stock recovery back if you want to remove root and custom recovery.

There are only stock rom as far as I know, although haven't checked lenovo russian forums in awhile.

Thank you but I don't understand, is this for A7-40 or A7-50 ? both are Lenovo A3500-FL ? Won't I brick my tablet if I use the scatter file you uploaded ?

There has been some miss naming on this tablet on some vendors. I bought mine as A7-50 Lite, which just is the a7-40 if i have understood right or at least the vendor now sells it as a7-40 lite.. Anyhow Lenovo A3500-FL is the right model.

Edit: To be sure of what model you have, just check from the tablet settings about page.

With my Lenovo I couldn't get recovery installed. I followed the instructions, but after rebooting it was always the android recovery that showed up.

But I found a different solution. Kingroot worked fine and its very easy, since it's just a app.

Since I am newly registered I can't post a link but google will help you

I highly doubt that there will be an lollipop update rom lenovo and I also highly doubt that anyone will provide custom roms for this.
Best place to search for stuff is the russian lenovo forums, with google translate.

did you say... ? You can flash firmware from A3500F model.
how can i get those links, i have messed up my device, i have TWRP but no . zip's to flush.

hi, because i was in doubt on witch model is my lenovo i went to our russian friends forum and i got 3 stock rom packages A3500 F, A3500 and A3500 FL. because this is a budget tablet i am trying to learn more about what is a ROM and how i download it as a image file and i see on you tube everybody flashing .zip files with TWRP recovery . my tablet gets frozen on logo (no OS) but i still can boot on recovery, this is not the right thread but it would be great if you could point me to the right place so that i can start to learn from the right place.
