Anyone know how I can unbrick the model with number 59410286 with a "MTK 8121 QC" CPU? It's labeled "A7-40 A3500-FL", so I followed the guide here, not noticing the CPU is different, and by that I bricked it.

Depends how bricked it is? Can you access recovery? Do you have backup? What exactly is not working and what you did to brick it? The russian lenovo forums might have right rom and stuff for your model.

hi, because i was in doubt on witch model is my lenovo i went to our russian friends forum and i got 3 stock rom packages A3500 F, A3500 and A3500 FL. because this is a budget tablet i am trying to learn more about what is a ROM and how i download it as a image file and i see on you tube everybody flashing .zip files with TWRP recovery . my tablet gets frozen on logo (no OS) but i still can boot on recovery, this is not the right thread but it would be great if you could point me to the right place so that i can start to learn from the right place.
Thank you.
From recovery you need to flash recovery flashable zips. Image/bin flashs are generally via pc/Windows with some program/tool like in this guide.

I used one of the russian roms and now it's working again. :) Thanks for helping.
It was again for the wrong CPU, and flash tool showed an error message. Maybe it was just stuck somewhere.

(*) I AM A JUNIOR MEMBER can't post links, so private message me for access to required:
SP Flash tool app, latest release
original SCATTER file ROM and auto-install USB drivers.
Before do this, check your model - A7-40 ( A3500-FL ), A7-50 ( A3500-F, A3500-H, A3500-HV ) in my case A7-50, A3500-F
If you reflash the tablet with incorrect ROM you can damage it. but if you are here you have past that concern, right ?

1. Download the ROM A3500-F_A442_01_34_140904_ROW This is a .RAR containing all that is mentioned in these instructions (*)
2. (**) my device turns ON and freezes or i boot in TWRP. can't switch off when needed and the battery is not removable. it was my biggest challenge as using the flash tool you need to turn off and on a few times, so FIND THE RESET HOLE that you can RESET using a paper-clip (in my case isvery close to the SD card is inserted.
3. Install drivers - i have a .bat that makes the job very easy
4. Start Device manager to control the driver installation.
------
5. Start SP_Flash_Tool.exe
6. Press "Scatter_loading" and load "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt (*)
7. Press "Download", SP_Flash_Tool will load necessery files.
8. Switch off the tablet. (**)
9. Press and hold the Volume Down button until you connect the micro USB cable.
10. Windows will start installing Preloader USB VCOM (Port X).
11. don't worry if the tablet starts or shoes charging symbol .
12. When Windows finished with the installation, reconnect the tablet again while press and hold the Volume down button (the tablet must be switched off). (**)All this things do take time be patient, use good quality usb cables and NEVER break the connection .
All i gave you is words , check some videos about the SP Flash tool...
All i can say is that after 3 months of mute , when i turned my tablet on and i heard the lenovo booting sound it was AMAZING but, it took 11 minutes in is first boot. all the times that i was tempted to grab 80 quid and buy a new one, i'm just so glad i didn't.
Like i said i have loads of info on most lenovo mobile devices, but (*)..... so, contact me if you need !
thank you all, but now i'm going to leave this old reliable Ubuntu dual boot win7 for a few days and explore the new toy toshiba satellite L50 and the pre installed Win 10.
Peace !

My son's tablet became unstable and after several attempts of fixing it, I decided to install ROM from scratch so I followed this guide and links and did it with original ROM and updates OTA., or more like Lenovo smart asistant.
Everything works fine now and thank you! for that!

There is good info here too (and surroundings... :) )

Can i have some help to flash my lenovo A3500 f

You can flash firmware from A3500F model.
It will not help you if you need to use your warranty, because it will change your device name in information menu to A3500F, but it will definitely help if you're messed your device.
I can't post any links yet, so I will try to send it via PM
The archive contains drivers, flastool and firmware.
To flash it - run flashtool, press "Scatter-loading" button, choose MT65xx_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file inside target_bin folder, don't forget to check "DA DL All With Check Sum" and then press Firmware-Upgrade button.
The program will start to search your device, it must be turned off, connect it and wait until the green cirlce appears.
Then you need to disconnect your device from PC and turn it on.
Hello, my tab lenovo hasard had à virus, and the hard reset can t help me to fix it. I m searching for the firm to the a3500 f could you send me by mail please ? [email protected] thanks for All !

Hey,
first of all: Thanks a lot for this instruction! I finally rooted the Lenovo tablet successfully!

BUT I would suggest some changes in the order of installation steps... at least it worked with my Tablet in the End. And I really tried and failed for hours!
Finally I did the steps like this:

1. Download attachment recovery.zip.
2. Manually install the Drivers for the LenovoTablet before plugin.
Otherwise Windows only installs the normal automatic drivers and its more difficult to install the other drivers.
2.1. Plug your device to PC.
3. Download the latest supersu zip file, which is now 2.45: http://download.chainfire.eu/695/Sup...erSU-v2.45.zip
3.1. Move the zip.-file to the Sdcard.
4. Turn off your device.

5. Unpack Recovery.zip
6. Run Flash_tool.exe with Admin Rights
7. Chose Scatter-Loading and choose MT6582_Android_scatter.txt (in Recovery folder)
7.1. Now you will see checekd only one checkbox - recovery, if not click on it and choose recovery.img
7.2.. Press Download
7.3. Connect your device
7.4. Wait few seconds.
8. Have CWM on your device

9. Unplug your device.
10. . Boot to cmw recovery by turning off your device. Then press and hold VOL DOWN + VOL UP and then also press and hold POWER for about 7 seconds.
10.1. Choose " Install zip from sdcard." (To confrim always use the Power Button)
10.2. Choose "zip from sdcard".
10.3. Select SuperSU-v2.45.zip from sdcard and apply.
10.4. Have a rooted tablet
Hello, I can't do the 2nd step properly. Windows device manager shows error code 10 for each driver I installed, error code 10 stands for "can't start device" . I disabled check-signature, restarted pc, no success, it keeps showing the yellow exclamation marks next to the drivers. Please help me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mirrou,
Can you get in recovery?
If not try to flash recovery. I prefer CWM on A3500FL.
Then download Custom ROM ( I prefer RR 5.7.4) and install. During installation it give message - detected file system ext4 bla bla - but leave it for ~ 5-10 min and it will finish with message script finished succesfully - 1.
After that gaps should be flashed if you want to have Play store. http://opengapps.org/ there select arm, android 6.0 and type. I prefer pico.
So prepare sd card with those 2 files on it - rom and gaps and enjoy.

Hi,
My TAB Lenovo A7-40 Wi-Fi Mediatek MT8121 is bricked on a bootloop (lenovo logo)
I can access anyway to the recovery TWRP 2.8.4

Hardware : MT8121
Model : Lenovo A3500-FL
Build number :
Build date UTC : 19700101-000000
Android v :
Baseband v: -----
Kernel v : 3.4.67 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.7 (GCC) ) #1 SMP Thu Nov 27 22:45:33 CST 2014

I tried to flash (with sp flash tool) a lot of stock roms but with hardware MT6582 , mine is MT8121
and downloaded them successfully, confirmation by the green circle on SPFT (drivers USB/ADB/MTK are installed and detected by W10) but unfortunately
when i boot my Lenovo TAB, it is still stuck on bootloop (logo lenovo) I tried with different cable, sp flash tool version, no success.

Could you post please the right stock rom with BB Chip: MT8121, i can't find a link with Google
I read that user brickowner on #144 have installed a working rom MTK 8121 QC" CPU, but don't know which one :(

Thanks in advance for your help ;)
