[Q] How to turn Beats Audio on with ViperS ?

Hello everyone,

I am a noob (from Paris so excuse my English) and I hope not to break the rules of the forum by posting this. I searched for an answer to my question but did not find it.

I've just bought a HTC Sensation and flash ViperS 3.1.2 on it. First of all, this ROM is just GREAT !

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought that this ROM will give Beats Audio to my phone despite it's not a HTC Sensation XE. Unfortunately, the option is OFF in Settings and is grey so I can't turn it on.

Is there anybody here who can give me a solution ?

I flashed Viber with 4EXT recovery in smartflash mode because I am in S-ON (I will try to turn to S-OFF shortly but everything works just fine with 4EXT smartflash so I am not sure what are the advantages to turn S-OFF)

Do the headphones have to be Beats Audio too ? Because even with mine (Sennheiser), the option stays unvailable.

No they does'nt , mine work with cheap headphones from ebay, the option is avaible when you have sound (play music , video, youtube.. it will just pop up in status bar and you'll have to choose what effect do you want

No it doesn't work The option is still unavailable and is OFF in Settings.

Ok, still doesn't work.

I turned the phone S-OFF, got SuperCID, flashed the newest firmware (3.33 Universal), flashed ViperS 3.1.3, updated to ViperS 3.1.4 OTA and the option Beats Audio is still OFF in Settings. When I plug my headphones (tried with two different ones), the mention that Beats Audio doesn't work with Phone speakers disappear but the option stays in grey and on OFF.

Anybody can help me with that ?

I've viper 3.1.2 and it work for me with beats and with any other.

Ok, still doesn't work.

I turned the phone S-OFF, got SuperCID, flashed the newest firmware (3.33 Universal), flashed ViperS 3.1.3, updated to ViperS 3.1.4 OTA and the option Beats Audio is still OFF in Settings. Go to Music, then play some music and while its playing with headphones in try to turn it on

Ok got the solution. You have to go to Sound Enhancement first, turn Low Power Audio off. Then the Beats Audio option is available.
