I bought an HTC Aria from Seattle/USA. It's ROM was changed by at&t so I wasn't able to do almost anyhting. I even couldn't use 3G. Then I found a way to root my Aria. I rooted it but still no 3G. Is there a way that I can enable my 3G. Is it about software or hardware? I live in Turkey by the way. Can anyone please help me:confused::eek:

A North American Aria radio uses GSM 850/1900 for the 3G frequencies which isn't compatible with the rest of the world. The radio is hardware, thus there is no software solution available to modify a NA Aria to use the GSM 900/2100 frequencies for 3G, so you will never be able to get 3G except in the North/South America

Thanks for the reply. I've got a couple questions:

1) Can I change the radio, is there a simple way?
2) What if I had bought my Aria from a non at&t shop. Would it still have the same problem?

The radio hardware can't be changed.

There are different versions of the Aria around the world. The one you need has the model number A6380 and is named "HTC Gratia" in most countries where it is sold (but some regions still call it "HTC Aria").
