[Q] How to upgrade to 5.1 from stock rooted 5.0.2

Hi my friends.

I follow this tutorial ([Stock][Lollipop 5.0.2][Root & Recovery][LB] D6502/6503 23.1.A.1.28 | Complete Guide) months ago to install Android 5.0.2 on my Xperia Z2.
Its ok.. everything is working great.

Now I want upgrade to 5.1... but when I download some ROMs (first was crdroid-5.1.1-20150703-sirius) and flash it, my Z2 brick (red light).

What am I doing wrong?

This tutorial is for LB (Locked Bootloader). To flash AOSP based ROMs e.g. CRDroid you must unlock bootloader because of custom kernel, which Bootloader doesn't permit to boot.

You're right.

My bootloader is locked =/ I check the "marlin key" and it's active.. some users say when is active = bootloader locked, and error = unlocked.

Anyway, thanks so much for you time!

For unlock bootloader I need to wipe the phone?

And... I really don't know how to backup this drm keys, but I found a video in YouTube explaining that.

Thanks again!

Unlocking bootloader wipes all internal memory and loses DRM Keys, so before unlocking backup them. .
How to backup DRM Keys: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598 - remember to upload this backup to online server(s) to be sure you will not lose this keys because these keys are assigned only to your phone, so if you try using another DRM Keys you'll brick your phone.

Then you can unlock bootloader and in case of any problems with Z2 flash stock rom and restore DRM Keys - bootloader will automatically lock, and warranty will apply :)

the phone will do a factory reset the very same second you unlock the bootloader, so backup everything you want to keep
