I live in Gibraltar, 2 issues (both of them occur on the official unlocked and upgraded 2.2 ROM)

1) Automatic time one hour behind what it should be. When I choose automatic time it shows me as Western Africa. Gibraltar is considered U.K. however, the time is GMT +1 as we are located on the South of Spain.

2) Choosing Gibraltar as a location on the HTC weather widget and scrolling to it causes HTC Sense to crash "The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly.

Any idea why this "Gibraltarphonia?"

Adrian.

no offence but maybe its because your such a small area  is the network your using spanish or african? because i know Gibraltar is just a few miles across the sea from the african coast init? anyway the automatic time is set by the network not the location service, maybe you should contact htc with your issues, as if no one has reported them before maybe they dont know of them? :)

Hi, we have our own provider - Gibtelecom who provide GSM/3G - over here. We are on GMT +1.

Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson etc. pick up the time automatically, and the Desire is not the only HTC which does not pick the time up from the network. Reported it to HTC when I first got the device about 3 months ago.

I had hoped Froyo update would resolve it. To be honest I'm not very happy with HTC support.

Could anyone who reads this thread try and add Gibraltar as a weather location and scroll through to it and see if it force closes?

Thanks!

Adrian.

Its also weird in the Canaries!
They are on GMT time zone due to geography, whereas the network is spanish, so a lot of phones show one hour behind (ie european time instead of GMT!

More Locale 2 - Partly works

Appeared to work, but after phone reboot, time went back one hour again.....

Still no weather in Gibraltar or Singapore yet.
