Couple questions relating to the HD7S...

Assuming no XSPL is installed, if an RUU_signed.nbh (or SCHUIMG.nbh) file successfully flashes to the phone without error (via RUU or USB SD card reader), does that mean it is definitely a 100% stock/unmodified HTC ROM?

I'm wanting to make sure that I have a clean stock ROM for an HD7S, but the only one available is a repackaged ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076457), as opposed to the usual Football ROM (exe from HTC). I'm just not quite clear on why a factory/shipped ROM would be repacked?

I've seconded the same question in the thread above (someone else asked it first), but I guess I'm somewhat curious about HTC WP7 phones in general. (I have a Surround as well.)

I would not expect a repacked ROM to have the required signatures, though I suppose it's possible that only the internal components are signature-checked. However, yes - if a ROM installs and you aren't using RSPL or HSPL, you can be pretty confident that it's an original one.

That said, I'm not sure what happens if you try this and your SPL (OSPL) is version 5.
