[Q] HTC M8W CHINA UPDATED TO ARHD 11.1 , issues

I have a M8w that's completely stock and up-to-date. I just couldn't find out yet weather there is a difference between M8 and M8w when it comes to rooting and custom recoveries. Since I assume I need that in order to do a nand backup you'd have to wait a few days... But I guys I could help you out on that one

The bootloader is 3.16 so if you (kangping) are on 4.4.3 with hboot 3.18 you can't help him im afraid. He needs a lower nandroid based on hboot 3.16 otherwise he can't update his firmware. Then he will have the same issue as on the custom 2.22.401 rom !

Hmm that doesn't say much to me at this time. Try to boot into the boot loader. Hold power + vol up.....once you have the black screen you keep the power button pressed and switch to vol down . Hold that combo until it boots into the bootloader. It says there what hboot you have

You need a lower nandroid backup. Or if possible flash maximus hd rom + the matching stock recovery then pay for sunshine s-off. Change the CID and MID and flash the wwe .401 firmware to convert to the wwe phones. But you have to get well informed of this all i wrote is really possible to the detail !!!

CAN I find and install

lower versions of stock recovery and stock rom ( with newer firmware ), ? and still get OTA updates

Have you made any progress in getting a lower version of the stock recovery and rom?

I have just bought a m8w which has already been rooted and is running a custom rom and recovery. I would like to get it back to stock to recieve ota updates so that i can get the firmware updated.

Nope, i am using ARHD 11.1 currentlywith 3.16 version

i am used to long boot fornow... will keepchecking for solutions..couldnt s-off aswell

I downloaded maximums Rom as suggested by Mr Hoff without getting the correct recovery. Once installed I was able to run the sunshine app and get s-off. Updated to latest world version of firmware now

I bought an M8w in Beijing for my friend. The phone is now rooted, S-OFF'ed, Super CID and on ARHD. After flashing the ARHD ROM, it started to have some problems with the screen as you can see from the photos attached. I'm in Turkey and since M8w is not sold in Turkey, HTC doesn't give technical support -what a shame!. They asked us to flash the original ROM to be able to help us and somehow they are sure that the problem is ROM related!

So we have to relock, S-ON and revert to stock ROM. ): Unfortunately we didn't get any backups or screenshots of the recovery/boot screen.

Where should I start?

Good Afternoon,
Sorry before for disturbing you, but I'm already confused & cant sleep about 3 (three) days for searching link stock rom RUU my HTC One M8d DWGL China version.
I bought it from online store in my country Indonesia, I was install custom rom it but only 1 simcard that can use & my wifi can not to turn on also. I 'm searching link for the RUU stock is nothing link that up, please help me sir.. because I don't allowed to posting on XDA Dev.
I hope you will help me because I know you are one of the best M8 XDA Developer's.
