So, fastboot usb is working.
Recovery is not working.
Bootloader is re-locked. And there is no way to unlock again.
Non root.
All system is accendatily wiped.

How can i flash a recovery or system manually or auto through dba or manually insert them

Why there is no way to unlock again? You don't need recovery to unlock.

fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

follow the procedure on phone.
flash custom recovery
flash supersu

flash rom

donw.

so it now says unlocked.

Can you post the output? fastboot works on your pc so you shouldn't have problem.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

OKAY [ 1.457s]
Writing 'recovery'...
Okay [ 0.839s]
finished. total time.2.298s

adb devices results in = "List of devices attached" and nothing more info.
instead of acually showing the devices.

Im sorry for typing to much. its just that i was up for almost 30 hours yesterday.
and couldnt get much sleep either.
However i now see that i can go into recovery. so thats a huge plus! thx to you sir.
so, now i just need to root and proceed i hope.

Correct....you flash SuperSu to get root.

Then you restore the TWRP stock ROM.

And finally you flash stock recovery

And then you are ready to receive OTA

Again, if you need any help just ask. Even if i'm not around there are plenty of people ready to help!!!

Try this zip for root:
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Even though i don't think you really need root at this point since you will flash a stock rom afterwards and lose root again.

ah...the stock ROM you downloaded is from a TWRP backup right? It's not flashable by recovery and i'm not sure if you can sideload it.
I think you will need to extract it and copy it to your external sdcard so that you will then restore from TWRP

Edit: Do you have a card reader that you can use to copy all these things from PC to sdcard? It will make your life a lot easier

I can transfer files to the sd card if i put the card in my old phone and connect.
what should i place on the sd card to be able to recover the stock rom? as you told. i do not have any rom instaled right now.

Extract the zip you downloaded with the stock ROM.
It should have a folder structure like:

TWRP/Backups/SH44****/2014-08-08--18-01-45 KTU84L release-keys

Then place that on the sdcard

On TWRP go to Restore
It will find these folders and restore

Done!!

It's a TWRP backup.

Well anyway i don't know why you don't get the folder structure and i'm not really sure if it's needed, but in any case.

In your external sd card create the following folders:

\TWRP\BACKUPS\SH44AWM02627\2014-08-08--18-01-45 KTU84L release-keys

and inside the 2014... folder drop all those files

And follow the steps above to restore

Whenever I try to send files to my phone via fastboot I get an error saying that it cannot open the target folder. I think this might have to do with the folder structure. I've tried /storage/sdcard/... as well as /data/media/0/... I've tried similar for ext sd as well. What is the correct folder/file structure for the HTC One m8 GSM?

Basically I only have bootloader / recovery available and cannot get twrp to install a zip. I think this is because I am using a twrp backup so I think I need the files to be unzipped? I'm stuck though as I can't figure out how to send the files to the phone!

Why did you zombie a 2 month old thread, that has little or nothing to do with your question?

Yes, a nandroid needs to be unzipped. Its a folder (after unzipping) that needs to be placed in an exact location, not a flashable zip.

On that same note, I'd suggest pushing a ROM zip (just to get up and running) as you can put that anywhere on internal storage or removable SD, as opposed to a nandroid where you will have to get the file location exactly right for TWRP to read it. And the backup folder location is based on your phone's serial number, further complicated that approach.

To be clear: flashing a ROM in TWRP you can browse anywhere on internal storage or on the removable SD and flash. To restore a nandroid the nandroid file needs to be located in the exact correct location for TWRP to find it.

Make sure you even have adb connectivity in the first place. The following should return the ID for your device:

    adb devices

Then for pushing a ROM, you can just push to the root of the internal storage:

    adb push "name.zip" /sdcard/

Where "name.zip" is the name of the ROM zip with no quotes.

Or if you have a USB card reader, you can put the ROM zip on there using your computer, than just insert into your phone and flash from TWRP.
