[Q] Htc outgoing sound issue

Hi i recently bought a htc desire hd a week ago and ever since people have complained that i sound like im veeeeeeeeeeeery far away.... i realy dont know what to do.... if i speak into the mic by the ear directly they can hear me better but who does that when talkin on a mobile? is there no mic at the bottom of the phone? whats wrong please help
