[Q] HTC Sensation XE Wifi Problem

Hi Guys,

I have an HTC Sensation which I recently bought and seems not to get onto any Wifi Network. It pops out with Out of Range Message. Kindly assist.

You must be rooted & have a file manager that allows root access (such as ES File Explorer; for ES File Explorer, go to settings & check up to root & mount system as writeable)
Find this file: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Copy it to the SD Card & delete the original.
Reboot.
Try to connect to WiFi now.

Can I have the steps on how tor root my phone. I am running Hboot 1.29 , Android 4.0.3 , HTC Sense 3.6 , Software 3.32.401.105

Can connect now to my wireless though , I cannot browse. Kindly help.

It worked for a couple of minutes and has gone back to Out of range.
