I Get This From htc_dev when I send that i flash Unlock_code.bin FAILD:

With regards to your enquiry, kindly this message means that you still have update so kindly we ask you to have the last update then try to unlock your bootloader.NOTE: as we mentioned in our last email between us that unlocking bootloader will make you out of warranty.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

WTF this means ???
same here. also happen for evo 3d user. Now they wont answer my email again. the final word from them : "We will forward this to relevant department for improvement, please try again another time". wtf !!!.
so now there are two things came out into my mind. this could be ridiculous but thats the only explanation i got till now :(

first, they had assume all damages that resulted a board replacement was caused by the act of unlocking the bootlader (flashing custom rom, recovery, etc). and now they tried to "punish" all customers who got a replacement board because they think it is our fault (for unlocking the bootloader).
they trying not to be too hard on us by rejecting the repairement on the first place. but they take the other way (on my 2nd thought)

second, the IMEI number (or any unique identity that differ for every boards) on the new board is not listed on their "approval list" of unlockable boards. They only "approve" the board which is shipped as a unit for sale. not as the sparepart :).

as i said, thats just my ridiculous opinion:D

Has anyone noticed their warranty repaired Sensation is recognised with a new spec in google market? (http://market.google.com)

old: HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio
New: HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715E

Is there a new version of the Sensation XE out? Some kind of internal spec change perhaps? Would explain a lot.

There's a small settings update you can download via menu -> settings -> about -> software update.

My phone still fails after that but hey, gotta follow the process.

thats so funny... i sended a request in case to unlock my device on htcdev with hboot 1.29 to the support and i recievt a poor answer...

Thank you for contacting HTC regarding your HTC Sensation XE.

My name is Ralph and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team.

I understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with unlocking the bootloader on your phone.

In order to be able to assist you further, please provide the following additional information:
IMEI (Found by dialling *#06# from your keypad or in the back of your phone)? The one you provided, XXXXX, as well as the Serial Number (XXXXX) were not recognised in my systems. With this data I can verify that you are locating the correct download from the Developer's website (www.htcdev.com).

As you noted the mainboard had been changed, the printed label for the IMEI and serial number may not correctly match that installed. Please check via software for the data at the end of the path: Home screen > Menu > Setting > About phone > Phone Identity.

Could you also tell me the file you were accessing on the Developer's site for this unlocking?

I look forward to receiving the above information so that I may respond to your query fully.
so... well, and now?

I'm stuck with the same error since yesterday.

I tried different methods. Sent a (different) identifier token to HTCdev page. First it seemed weird that the token varied every time. Even if I did it within 1sec.

And then... trying to flash the unlocktoken.

fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.156s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
finished. total time: 0.172s

The HTC Sensation ist in fastboot usb and is recognized when I type fastboot devices.

I'm trying this on
Windows 7,
HTC Sensation (Pyramid),
HBOOT-1.27.0000

Any help is very much appreciated!

Ok. Since there are a couple of users stuck with S-ON HBOOT 1.27.0000 I asked myself why so many?

I just called HTC and of course they didn't want to "offer any help on hacking devices" even though its "officially offered by HTCdev". Anyway... during the call the hotline staff asked me for my IMEI. Told him what I found behind the battery and on the screen within Settings -> Info (both IMEIs are identical). He could not find any phone model. So then I gave him the IMEI on the back of the box of my Sensa. Different one. I then told him that I had a display issue (dust) and he told me that they prob. changed the motherboard.

Could it be that all of us who are stuck here had a problem with hardware, sent it to HTC and it came back with a new motherboard?

What kind of forsaken motherboard is this?

Not only the ones from HTC. Mine was repaired by Arvarto Teleservices because it is a branded phone. I had dust under the screen and a broken volume button and they changed the motherboard too. HTC has to know about this procedure.

Hey LLLeeo, I had exact the same issues. Mine has a VF branding. I had to send it to Arvato, too.

Mine is a Telekom. :) When I got it back there was Hboot 1.18 on it, but I couldn't unlock it with revolutionary (zerging root failed) nor with htcdev.com. So it has to be something with the mainboard. I'm writing with a developer of HTC about this problem. Keeping you up to date with it. Right now nothing new from him.

I had a reply from HTC regarding my repaired phone, hopefully it'll yield some sort of result - certainly seems like the person who wrote the email knows a little bit about the process.

I am sorry to hear that you are not able to unlock your Bootloader again. Being technical support, we do not actually support the Bootloader unlocking as it voids part of the warranty.

We suspect that given your main board has been changed, and therefore your IMEI number, but the serial number is the same, this may be creating an issue with the identifier token being recognized.

In order to get this looked at further, I would like to escalate this for investigation, to do this I must ask for the following details.

Serial Number
IMEI
Build number
Android Version
Baseband Version
HTC Sense Version
Current network provider

Hey Nemall, sounds promising and I suspected that this might have to do something with the issue.

You might provide him with the IMEI # on your Box and the one from your phone... well just any IMEI you can find :D.

Please keep us updated! Thank you!

HAHAHAHAHA Now I get From HTC This:

With regards to your enquiry, kindly note that we have investigated this issue, and haven't find any problems.
Kindly try to use another browser while trying to unlock your phone, as well as another Internet connection, if possible. Make sure that you have followed all the steps, exactly as they are explained on the website. Also, make sure that Token is copied exactly as it should be, without INFO at the beginning of every line, or any other line that is not showing in the example. You may try to use another PC if the unlocking process is still failing.

AWRYT!!!! I will Buy New PC, and Internet provider...You Know What HTC? I will buy New Samsung Galaxy III...LOL!

I posted earlier. My Sensation also had a new main board after getting dust under the screen so it definantly seems to be a mismatch with the serial and imei number.

I got the same email. Replied and got another saying the issue was being escalated and I'd hear more soon.

Glad it's not just me, be nice if they resolve this for us. Full S-OFF would be nice but I used HTCDEV for my Flyer and that's done everything I need :)
