This is for sensation.. Only the temp root script is made w.r.t sensation only.. It won't work for evo 3D

I tried all the methods available for Evo 3D too, but they all failed, I was hoping you could shed some light on the matter as I am stuck pretty bad.

Even if we get temp root to success.. Which is possible.. The Juopunutbear soff should support nohtcdev method.. Which is there for sensation only afaik.. Ask in juopunutbear channel in freenode

HAHAHAHAHA Now I get From HTC This:

With regards to your enquiry, kindly note that we have investigated this issue, and haven't find any problems.
Kindly try to use another browser while trying to unlock your phone, as well as another Internet connection, if possible. Make sure that you have followed all the steps, exactly as they are explained on the website. Also, make sure that Token is copied exactly as it should be, without INFO at the beginning of every line, or any other line that is not showing in the example. You may try to use another PC if the unlocking process is still failing.

AWRYT!!!! I will Buy New PC, and Internet provider...You Know What HTC? I will buy New Samsung Galaxy III...LOL!

Is it not funny??? can you say me if you fixed the problem?? it is really funny that they answer the same like a copy and paste.. fantastic..

I don't know if this will help I got the invalid token error the first time I tried to unlock then I read somewhere that the reason you get the error is because of to many characters in the token code
I noticed when you paste the code in there is a space before every line so I backspaced every line to remove the spaces and it worked
Now fully unlocked boot loader

Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
please, can you say me how exactely you did?? because i get another different error if i delete every space...

+1 to that
initial tests failed but..its a huge success in HTC-ONE-X forum...so i guess it should be working in your case too..

so now im going to give you the tool
(its not mine..I havent developed it )
i took the tool from this thread and modified it a little bit to support sensation/XE/4G

tool:
DB link -root-sensation-windows

right now this tool supports windows ony

DISCLAIMER:
i wont be responsible if this process bricks your device (which i highly doubt it) ..so run this tool at your own risk

NOTE:
1.first of all you need to make sure that you guys have adb/fastboot setup(if you dont then check this guide)

2.check whether your device is being recognized.
To check this follow the below steps
  • connect your mobile to pc...keep your device in lock screen/home screen
  • open the folder where your adb/fastboot present
  • hold shift + right click on the white space of the folder and click "open command window here"
  • type "adb devices" without quotes...it should show your device serial number
  • that's all your device is attached now

instructions on how to run the tool:

1.Download the zip file i've linked.
2.Extract root-sensation-windows.zip into a directory on your computer.
3.Plug your HTC SENSATION/XE/4G into your computer via USB. Recommended: Plug your device’s
USB cable into the back of your computer if you’re using a desktop PC.
4.Enable USB Debugging on your HTC sensation. Settings >> Develop Options >>USB debugging (checked)
5.Double click root.bat to run the script and wait until it completes. Don't touch the device until it's run completely.
6.if "EVERYTHING DONE..ROOT SUCCESS...ONE FINAL REBOOT NOW" comes in the command windows which pops up after double clicking the root.. Then it's a success.
6.reboot and check the root access via root check basic app.

It should not take more than 3 minutes to run the complete code
If it got halted in the middle.. Please post me back the last print present in the cmd window that poped up after double clicking root file
also after running everything successfully you didn't got root access..then please click on "IRC HELP CHANNEL" in my signature and join the irc..I'll be there mostly and will help you out

PS: i Can't guarantee you 100% success...need to test this tool that's why i'm asking for your help and feedback :D
i tested it and.. as avery time i tried to root or unlock my mobile i ca read about Permission denied
..... so like every time i don t know what to do .....

read ....

you are right

second, the IMEI number (or any unique identity that differ for every boards) on the new board is not listed on their "approval list" of unlockable boards. They only "approve" the board which is shipped as a unit for sale. not as the sparepart :).

as i said, thats just my ridiculous opinion:D
i really think you are right.. they are one week that say me the same thinkg... to try again , to change pc, to change connection to CHANGE PHONE lol... i really don t know what to do .. did you fix the problem????

I know what your problem is.. If you did the root thing already.. Then ignore it.. Otherwise wait for few minutes.. I'll give you modified root.bat file which will help you in rooting the device

unlock not possible after mainboard change

hello,

i have the same problem. After a few weeks with HTCDEV Support i've got this answer.

Code:
Thank you for your patience.

I have just received an update from escalations for Bootloader unlocking procedures.

Unfortunately, it outlines that devices that have been repaired (Mainboard changed) or Replacement devices, will not be able to complete the Bootloader unlock due to the IMEI mismatch from the details held that HTCDev accesses to generate the unlock token.

I am very sorry but it is not possible to unlock your devices bootloader as your device had its main board changed in the repair in September.

I apologise that I am unable to assist you further. There is no troubleshooting or fix I can provide to resolve this for you.

Should you require any troubleshooting/assistance in the future, please dont hesitate to contact us.

To let me know I have answered your query, please follow the link below to close your enquiry, you will have the opportunity to leave feedback about your experience contacting me today.
So, now solution from htc for this problem.

if your device's motherboard really has been replaced then forget htcdev unlock method
your only solution is S-OFF method

I have already HTC Dev unlocked the phone. In the bootloader screen, it already is S-OFF. I found out that the problem was that the phone was still on gingerbread. I ran the OTA update and upgraded to the latest revision, then ran it again and it ran through completely. Now there is a new problem: IT DIDN'T SIM UNLOCK THE PHONE AT ALL. It's very annoying because the phone is a T-Mobile phone, and the SIM I'm trying to use is Walmart Family Mobile, which is actually T-Mobile service. If I do the *#*#4636#*#* to check the signal, I have -113dB, but it says "Emergency Calls Only". The antenna signal doohicky at the top shows 0 bars. I know the SIM works, because if I put it in my trusty old T-Mobile Dash that I unlocked/flashed with EVO ROM from this site back in the day, it works fine! It's just this Sensation that I can't seem to SIM unlock. Also, if I power up the phone with the SIM in, I don't get the prompt for entering the "unlock code", although maybe there is a #*#* combination that will bring up that menu.

So far, I have done the following steps:

1. HTCDev unlocked BIOS
2. juonoupbear to obtain S-OFF
3. Updated firmware to 3.33
4. Installed Clockworkmod Recovery Touch 5.0.9
5. Installed latest Cyanogenmod 10, Jellybean nightly package
6. Applied TMO-DISH3 update (although I'm not completely sure what it is -- but related to the radio
7. Updated radio to 11.29A.3504.18_M
8. Updated RIL to 4.0.0037HMQ

I'm f'ing baffled. PLEASE can anyone help in SIM unlocking this damn phone?

PS: CM10 on this phone is SOOOOO nice. It's incredibly smooth and Trebuchet loader completely demolishes HTC Sense.

There is an unlock thread in development section... Use that for sim unlock
