[Q] I forgot how to reduce # of home screens

Hi all,

I just dumped T-Mobile and my galaxy s 2. I went to att and got the same phone but sgh1777 and I want to reduce the number of home screens I have to go through with empty screens, no apps or widgets on them.
could someone please tell me how to do this? I know there is somewhere to go on the phone where you can add and eliminate the number of screens. Thank you SO much, driving me crazy.

If you are running stock I think you pinch to zoom out, and there is a way to remove them there. Or, on the home screen press menu, then edit. Its been a few months since I used TouchWiz launcher or gingerbread.

Pinch to bring up home screen then touch and hold a homescreen and a delete or remove option should come up.

I believe with bone stock TW, you cannot set your own Home default screen, I think the first one is the dedicated one.

That's with the i9100 versions. That, and the ability to alpha sort the app drawer are the differences between the two.

R u sure? it happened on my i777
Were you running a i9100 based ROM? You can force the left home screen to be the default on the i777 version, or any other, it doesn't have to be middle. But the i9100 version doesn't give you the choice.

On a stock launcher you simply pinch in to minimize. You'll see all of your screens. Here if you press and hold one you can move it around to rearrange the order of your screens. You should also see an "x" on each meaning that you can delete a screen that way. Hope this helps
